in friendships what is the one thing you look out for?

trust? fun? common grounds? biblicality? supper mates? likability?

how about forgiveness?

we are sure to step on each other's toe nails at one point of time or another.
cause nobody is perfect.
even the perfect saviour was scorned by many.
i certainly hope to be forgiven if i ever stepped on your toes.
scream if i ever do, but lets move on from there.
i have done my best, and am still learning.

Rayson reminded me a valuable old saying... your best years should be used to serve God!

I asked: so doesnt your best years include investing in courtship since working life sucks away yr time?
Rayson: that will be the amount of time you have with your wife and even kids for the remaining years of your working life. If you cant handle that during courtship, what better during marriage?

burnt my fingers recently... consequence of not obeying and being sensitive to the holy spirit... but wth... let it be a lesson learnt den... seriously it's true hor... only when we invest in something we know is God-pleasing will there not be disappointment because we know our rewards are stored! it's only when we do stuff or invest in ppl without God's approval will there be hurt and disappoitment, cause we can never retrieve what we've given out....

life's so fragile

i'm so glad i made the right choice to visit my 2nd aunt at the hospital yst.
she had a minor heart attack days b4.
she was discharged today. but at 2am just now my bro called; she just passed away.
i was watching tv and idling away.
this news stunned me greatly.
i din know and still dont know wad to make sense of it.
life's so fragile isnt it?
perhaps the most impt thing is to shower just a little more love and concern to the ppl ard u.
dont be self centered and oblivious to wad's going ard you.
boy am i glad that i made an impromptu decision to see her yst.
we were still chatting and laughing away with my mum.
she was her usual self; hokkien speaking and funny.
i even took a picture of her and my mum chatting away.
truly a unique aunt that i loved during my growing up years.
really, we must pause to appreciate the ppl ard us.
we never know what may happen.

at least i know that i made the right choice to see her one last time. No regrets.
at least i was there to witness her water baptism.
